in association with electrocution, this uprising dark electro/industriallabel provides an example of bringing the old-school electro standards back with the new six bands that give this label its foundation.

if you have been looking for some new approaches to older sounds of dark electro/industrial, this might be something you may want to check into.

taking upon influences from great grandfathers of this sound such as skinny puppy (pre-vivisect era), putrefy factor 7, and early fla. even though i am not sure this is the intention of the label, it sure sounds like the direction they are heading at. it is difficult for me to necessarily hack down what seems to be a very promising move for this young and growing label without further insight from each musician and their outlook on music directions.

after a while I have established my opinion – if you have been a dark electro/industrial fan of the past and still respect it timelessly, this release and their directions might as very well give you something inspiring and further to look into. at the same time, it may also seem somewhat dated to others in respects of equipment and programming directions that have been approached by most the bands on this release. but I am pretty sure the bands are aware of their directions taken and these are “demo versions" that are probably not completely finished and mastered to perfection.

here we are introduced with two tracks each from volatile artillary, parkinson, ö’dem, rash, dead state 81, and glass description. each band provides their own particular take into raw old-school directions that give definition to this label and its work.

bands such as parkinson provide a nice aggro-industrial direction that utilizes brooding heavy synthetic samples and regurgitated vocal elements. ö’dem provides an abysmal "tba" instrumental that provokes a pleasant cinematic eeriness in the listener. dead state 81, the most impressive artist on this release, closely interrogated the ideals of early skinny puppy, almost sounding exactly how they did in the early days. it’s quite scary how much they sound like them on there first track "kosova"; very nice piece, but it’s no replacement for puppy yet. I do like the directions they have taken and they just might take over where putrefy factor 7 left off.

all in all, I think this will be one of the possible labels that keeps this genre of music still alive for future generations to enjoy. very nice website design and artwork as well.
