After releasing his awesome and stunning release "Bioplaza" back in 1999, Jeff Danos gives tribute to this brilliant cd by releasing a remix album that includes some very unique bands together with various remixes by the artist himself.

Proving to be one of the strongest on DSBP, Danos introduces several dramatically different visions of his previous engaging tracks. We open this cd with an isolated drum n' bass approach to the melodic venture of "byproduct" by Testube himself. Next, Pain Station drowns "contrast" with a erratic ferocity of percussive rhythms and extremely harsh vocals that rips into your mind. Biopsy pounds out and EBM driving mix of "Dance of Limbs." Oneiroid Psychosis takes a seductively dark and cold mix on the fourth track, "Ovary Act" that utilizes distant and classical string arrangements and subtle militant percussive structures they are well known for.

Testube takes on very fast-paced and chaotic uninteresting mix of the "cure for your plagues." I still like the original much better. B! Machine takes a nice electro-trance approach to "Bride of Science" relying more of the harmony of the original and making it a little danceable, nice. Trylok brings another very danceable mix to the track, "contrast" using an emphasis on a nice engaging trance-beat, organ string arrangements, and a very menacing approach to the vocals that makes Rudy R. look like a mere child in comparison. This is definitely one of my favorites on this release.

Track eight, "bioplaza", emerges you into noise/ebm textures with atmospheric elements by Testube. On track nine the band takes an old-school EBM approach to "dance of limbs", not my thing; once again i like the original better. Paranoid Axis presents a bouncy, erratic, & fast-paced mix "cure for your plagues." Thine Eyes presents a desolate and separated mix of "Ovary Act." Redonjon takes a darkwave thematic approach to the beautifully melodic "stun relic." Testube attacks you with a temperamental mix "contrast" using an array of very ferocious and intense vocal stylings that engage nicely with the rhythmic structures. Very nice, another very strong track on this release. We end this release with a varied and unique megamix of title track "reconstructive surgery."
