"a rebours" is the disk that is composed by magnus sundstrüm in the recognizable vein of cold meat industry release. however this album would have been accepted good even hundred years ago. the music doesn't have any modern-sounding electronic elements or anything that would remind of the technology and music industry of present days, however it sounds very modern and very "classical" at the same time. it is dark and mystical, rich and wonderfully orchestrated. monumental compositions are almost devoid of lyrial content. this is an intelligent dark atmospheric release that might appeal to the wide audience. occasional famous movie samples make you remember that the record came out just recently, but if you are unfamiliar with those pictures the mystery and magic will stay.
