pax - the project of Heiko Daniel of Eco and Andre Schmechta of X Marks The Pedwalk. with this second release the band continues to attract the crowds to the dancefloor with the music that sounds a lot like eco’s latest release: very very beat-driven with catchy clean sequences and sweet soft melodies. my picks on the album are "tesselated parts" (definitely a hit - a strong club track with the very interesting heavy processed voice, amazing chorus and sweet sequences - it really stands out on the album; very-very beautiful), “outfaced” (another strong dance track), "accolyte" (a dance hit that appeared on many compilations; this disk also has funker vogt and dark illumination mixes of the track). this album is a *must* for the club djs, as well as those that enjoy light industrial-dance music. this is a well-produced album that probably might lack complexity or diversity, but it makes up for it with the perfect drum programming and catchy compositions. plus for those xmtp and eco fans: you will definitely notice the influence of those bands on many tracks on the album.
