Delve into the darkest regions of the mind with the psychotic and horrific themes of a madman. This is a reflection of one man's journey into the mind of the vicious serial killer. I maybe wrong about it, but this is what I am examining from the compositions and lyrics presented in this release.

I enjoyed the ways many other bands such as :wumpscut:, numb, and suicide commando have approached these themes before, but here's one of the strongest new interpretations I've heard in quite some time, executed with precision and composed with much thought and direction. Forget what you already know about the previous releases ("anxiety" and "disjointed") and merge into a more minimal/ebm sound from master technician Scott Sturgis. Influences of suicide commando, klinik and putrefy factor 7 are very apparent in many tracks such as "brain dead" and "so alive" that have predominant eerie dysfunctional and menacing attributes that devour your ego and leave you in the darkest regions of your psyche.

Some tracks, sounding very PF7'ish in structure, while others such as "i need you" and "slaughter house" lean on a suicide commando and klinik edge. The album ends with two outstanding mixes: a very dancy electro mix of "slaughterhouse" by a23 and an abrasively destructive mix of "aftermath" by sturgis's very own noise project, converter.

A nice unique step forward for pain station and one everyone should encounter.
