chemantra
the cd cover as well as the cd title itself imply that the band is trying to mix ritual/tribal elements together with technoid sounds. the result is a bizarre and captivating mix of ritual chants and sounds, trancy technoid elements, distorted noises. the tempo and moods are changing constantly from track to track. from the ritualistic chants reminding you of softer hybryds with floating female vocals it changes to a cold technoid driving track reminding you of percussion-heavy surreal black lung pieces; next track is heavy, very danceable trance with noisy textures and cold atmospheric elements on the background.
the music might appear disjointed and a bit simplistic and at times repetitive to some, but swirling, dancing, enchanting, mother destruction quickly casts its spell on the listener and you just keep pushing "play" button again and again each time the cd is over.
