Well, if you were a fan of the last Fektion Fekler release on Pendragon a few years ago, this might interest you. "A people undone" takes on much of that very nice uplifting yet sad melodic elements and universal appeal they are very well known for. This album definitely incorporates some newer very 80's clean vocal stylings on some tracks that didn't seemed to grab me as much as the instrumentals. I could see the direction the Bustamante brothers where going two years ago, and can see why they have chosen ArtOFFact as homebase now.

Two-thirds of this album works very nicely, especially with the beautiful melodic instrumental compositions. But there are some tracks that are just a little over the edge on sappiness with the vocals. Moksha works best without vocals for me, the same went for the later FF work as well. Tracks such as "Miss", " Consecrated Virgin", and "I Quit" prove to be the strongest on this release with very enlightening and layered string melodies, bouncy bass rhythms, subtle subliminal samples, and majestic air choirs. This is what defines their style and sets the apart from other musicians. I can say the "Anarchy of separation" is a very powerful track overall and the vocals don't seem to bother me, a good mesh of both elements. Very emotional stylings with attractive bass progressions combine effectively with the dynamic string elements.

So far, this is the best from growing label ArtofFFact and probably the most promising compared to the others.
