kingdom of god
This release deserves it’s to be mentioned and acknowledged as a very short but effective piece of very strong dark ambient work. Its range makes it a kin to some of hybryds ritualistic compositions. Mysterious militia creates attractive and rich occult environments for the mind. Packaged in a simple fold-out cardboard 8.5x11 sleeve with words by FL. Hosmer and pictures of Christ and an unknown factory, this twenty-one minute cd takes us into a mystical journey of lands unforeseen.
The disk opens with reverberations of distant church bells and shallow resonances that gradually layer with the sounds of horns and flute loops. Old militant rhythms accompany these loops with raw acoustic percussive accents that take us into a distant land. Somewhere we fall into abysmal choirs and a disturbing voice of knowledge that is engulfed in the intensity of the air choirs and dense atmospherics.
The second track, “kingdom of our lord,” takes on faced past tribal rhythms that are accompanied by more acoustic percussive elements such as cow bells, gongs, rattles, and bouncy skin drums and, later, bleak strings. Evoking visual elements of travels into the worlds of the ancient wanderers, this release is highly recommended to the once looking for further journeys into solid ritual ambience.
