it probably could be said that a label has reached a certain status, when the cd like this gets released. the concept behind "14id1610s" is one of the few reasons that make this disk worth mentioning. as the cd cover states, 89% of the samples were taken from various ant-zen releases. the albums is basically a tribute (if you wish), a documentary of the label, as viewed through the eyes of panacea (panacea seems to get closer and closer to both ant-zen and hymen, which hopefully will result in collaboration with some of the artists in the nearest future, which, judging by the variety of panacea's output lately, could be quite intriguing).

as for the material on the cd, it is an extremely minimal collection of various samples, loops, cut-up noises that are separated by quite long periods of sounds that makes it almost impossible to be qualified even as an atmosphere-creating work (at least you can't complain about the lack of variety). occasionally some kind of structure builds up, but this seems to be merely incidental. a nice addition to your collection, that already contains second disk of "matrix" by haujobb.
