im visier
despite common misconception, feindflug claims to merely document the rise and fall of the nazis between 1933 and 1945. mcd "im visier" is a continuation of the theme and is dedicated to german design engineer and flight pioneer hugo junkers that was expropriated and arrested by nazis in 1933.
not involving ourselves in moral and ethical implications of such approach, we turn to the music. as on "vierte version", the music is devoid of vocals and only german samples fill the tracks. two versions of "stukas in visier" (original plus the more danceable and upbeat remix by dava-n-tage) restate its militant strength crushing the listener with distorted powerful ebm. among other tracks on the disk you will notice "in gefangenschaft" - fast-paced ebm with a mix of straight beats and distorted percussion, full of melodic sequences and samples; "stromtod", that is a slower and more emotional track with melancholic torn melody and noisy background percussion.
an interesting addition is an opening 20-second "würdelos /" that turns out to be the beginning of a russian folk song (that I could not recognize).
