I have been following astral projection for a while now and it is nice to see this 2-disk mix album with new material as well as remixed tracks from previous albums. starting back with first albums in early 90s, this band from israel always seemed to be one of those well-known acts that pop up in your mind almost every time the word "trance" is mentioned.

it is amazing to see the amount of excellent music the band keeps putting out non-stop, especially comparing it with other trance projects I have heard lately. both cds ("sundown" and "sunrise") are full of solid, nicely arranged compositions, tightly mixed together into one explosive and hypnotizing mix. 22 dynamic tracks (including four new tracks and several remixes by other bands) flow into each other, mutate into new lifeforms retaining dense mysterious atmosphere. both albums form one sonic journey that doesn't offer any breakthrough music revelations, but delivers 2+ hours of quality trance. this cd from the masters of the genre is a good introduction to the band's sound as well as to trance itself.
